Hi! I'm Janel

Brand designer and your creative partner

I help entreprenuers show up with purpose through branding, websites, and print collateral that feel intentional and actually work.

What started as a solo freelance gig has grown into a studio shaped by trust, collaboration, and a shared focus on getting things right. I create personality-driven branding and custom websites that bring consistency and confidence across every touchpoint—online, in print, and everything in between.

Where It All Began

From a Print Shop to Brand Strategy

I got my start as the in-house designer at my parents’ print shop. That’s where I saw firsthand what so many small businesses deal with: inconsistent branding, limited resources, and a gap between how they present and how amazing they actually are.

I led a full rebrand—logo, color palette, signage, the whole deal—and saw how thoughtful design didn’t just shift the visuals, it shifted the team’s confidence and the business’s bottom line. That stuck with me. It’s what I bring to every project: design that makes a difference beyond the surface.

Design with Production in Mind

Sometimes the smartest design decision is the quietest one: in this case, choosing simplicity over complexity guaranteed that the thin and dotted lines printed cleanly.

Working in a production-heavy environment taught me to think a few steps ahead. Not just how something looks, but how it’s made, how it holds up, how people experience it. I care about the kerning (the space between letters — especially important for logos and headlines). I care about whether your brochures feels premium or like an afterthought. I care about the small stuff because the small stuff shapes how people see your brand.

When everything lines up, people feel it—and they trust you more because of it.

Custom Branding and Websites — No Templates, No Shortcuts

I design custom brands and websites that aren’t built from templates. WordPress is my go-to (specifically Themeco’s Pro builder), but I also work in Squarespace if that’s a better fit. Typography, color, imagery, layout—it’s all chosen with intention to reflect your business, not someone else’s.

Whether you’re starting fresh or trying to untangle years of DIY, I help make sense of the mess and build a brand system that scales with you.

Capabilities

Brand Identity Design

Great brands don’t just look good—they feel right. Branding isn’t just design; it’s how people feel when they encounter your business. From your logo and color palette to the tone of your messaging, every detail shapes that impression. I create cohesive brand identities that reflect your values, express your personality, and equip you to show up consistently—on your website, social media, email, and every piece of marketing collateral.

Website Design

When print design starts to feel like a box, web design opens the door. Your website isn’t just there to explain what you do—it helps people decide if they trust you. I design custom WordPress and Squarespace sites that are clear, intuitive, and aligned with your goals. Structure, storytelling, typography, layout—every piece is chosen to support your message and move people to action.

Print Design

Print is my first love—paper, process, Pantone, all of it. That passion shows up in every physical brand touchpoint: business cards, brochures, signage, apparel, and promotional products. Each piece is designed to feel intentional, cohesive, and unmistakably you. I can advise on production or handle everything start to finish—from prepress to delivery—through my print management services.

Ongoing Creative Support

I work in a streamlined, intensive model—because clarity loves a deadline. Instead of typical hourly rates, we collaborate in focused sprints. Most intensives are full-scope brand, web, and print projects delivered in a set window. I also offer shorter intensives and VIP days to knock out specific priorities quickly. The pace keeps us aligned on what matters—clear goals, shared momentum, and a streamlined process—so by the end, your website is live and your print and social assets are ready to go.
